Left Thigh Healing...

My left leg was reattached, though they replaced the majority of my femur with a metal rod they still cut out three inches of bone and muscle... the metal rod means that my leg is the natural length it was pre-accident. it was an experimental surgery that the doctors tell me has improved to a point where people who have this done are in NONE of the pain that i live with daily with each and every step. and that, makes me feel so happy. i wouldn't want anyone to hurt even a fraction of my pain levels! 

On a side note... the nurses and doctors at the VAMC in Asheville were stunned that i was removing my own stitches as they came up with my toenail clippers until the doctor gave me a stitches removal kit of my very own (in fact i still have it)!
